NITDA plans to train 1M individauls in various areas of application development On 07th August, 2022 the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), under the supervision of Federal Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy, urged Nigerians to apply for a training program on software development and management (NITDA Developers Group, NDG).
It was said by the agency that the training is under the supervision of Federal Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy as part of the effort to make Nigerians literate in the Universe.
The programme is in line with National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy (NDEPS) of the Federal Government, and NITDA’s Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan (SRAP 2021-2024) pillar of Emerging Technologies. Trainees will coached properly, and there will be lectures to develop programming skills in Python for Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Robotics, Machine Learning and Data Science.
NITDA plans to train 1M individauls in various areas of application development The Training is divided in to two batches which is A and B. Batch A will run from Monday to Wednesday, and Batch B will run from Thursday to Saturday, and Sunday will be independent study day, and Certificates will be issued to the trainees at the end of the programme.
Kashifu Inuwa, The Director General of NITDA, CCIE, has directed NCAIR to run the programme under 24 hours operation organise within the Centre, including an internship programme that will provide intensive training to Nigerian youths with the hope of producing software developers in Nigeria.
Classes will be held six (6) days a week in 3 clusters (24 students each), with 12-hour sessions for independent study and working on exercises and projects between 8pm and 8am daily.
Requirement to be Considered Before Applying
- Candidate must be dwelling in Abuja, the Federal Territory of Nigeria or has an accommodation in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja; which Include:
- NYSC Corps Members.
- Secondary School Students.
- Undergraduates who are on Strike.
- Candidate that wishes to acquire intensive digital skills.
- Candidate must be at least 15 years old.
Note: The training will be taken place physically in ABUJA.
